Farmer’s Market Chic

DSC_1046DSC_1048DSC_1072DSC_1074DSC_1091DSC_1093

There is nothing like waking up on an early morning and getting ready to drive over to the Winter Park Farmer’s Market. I really wish my hubby and I would make it to the farmer’s market more often.  I have never really embraced the hot, morning, Florida sun. It can get unbearable.

I decided to throw on a super cute bright yellow halter dress with my Steve Madden heels. I am so in love with this dress. Not only is it comfortable but it is effortless. And the shoes are my new summer shoes. They give me all the comfort I need to walk around and be stylish.

When the weather is hot and humid, wear light colors because dark colors attract more heat. Something light and chic is the way to go when battling hot summer days. Open-toed shoes and sandals are also a good idea. I love white sandals and short-stacked strappy heels. They make you look like you put more effort into your look than you really did. When it comes to your hair, there is no fighting the humidity. The best way to handle humidity and your hair is to find a hair-style that you don’t have to fidget with. Half-up/half-down, a sleek ponytail, or a braid work well here. Don’t forget your styling gel!

We had such a good time and are planning to make more trips. We had a basket filled with a little produce. We are planning on making a little veggie stir fry. Next time you find a farmer’s market, it is worth it to stop in and get some goodies. I really could not resist the hydrangeas. After finally making it to this farmer’s market, we have made plans to find a much bigger farmer’s market to visit.
