When I think of fall, I think of a cozy and whimsical time. It is the time to relax and cuddle up to a great book and enjoy the cold autumn breeze. I love to read. It takes me to a different place. I love to indulge myself into a book and make myself a part of the characters. Discovering a new good book is like getting the last piece of pie on Thanksgiving. I do have a big collection of books from various genres. I make it important to read a bit of everything. I want to share my must-read books for the fall.
Books made into movies
I always wonder if it is worth watching the movie adaptation after reading a book. And yes, it is worth it. I love the cinema and the visual aspects of a movie. I prefer to read the book before watching movies so I can compare the details. On the other hand, books made into movies usually ruin the book and would be a waste of time and add nothing to the book or the series. But these are the top 5 books that I have loved that were made into a movie and they are all amazing and juicy to enjoy.
- Gone Girl
- Harry Potter
- A Wrinkle in Time
- The Help
- Hocus Pocus
Fashion Books
Fall fashion is the best fashion. I love to read books during this time that deal with girls and conquering the world in a pair of shoes. It is interesting with women’s fashion forward books. I love books that have a great meaning behind them without too many twists. Well, maybe one or two twists. Nothing is wrong with a fabulous coffee table book that goes well with your decor, just try to get one that is also a good read.
- Fashion Climbing by Bill Cunningham
- The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake
- Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso
- World of style by Aimee Wong
- Tom Ford by Tom Ford, Bridget Foley
Autobiography and lifestyle
I love a good lifestyle and biography book. It really wakes me up and motivates me to keep pushing. It always gives me an opportunity to learn more about a celebrity and their journey as well as the mindset they are in.
- The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
- I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
- The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman
- The 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss
- Where’d You Go by Maria Semple
Most books are amazing to read. These books are just some of my favorite books that I have read so far. Reading books is great for the imagination and gaining creativity. Let me know what books are you reading this fall !
