Christmas is my favorite holiday. Even though I love the classic cliche seasonal activities, there are so many of them that I have never been able to try. Such as playing in the snow, ice skating, or lighting a real fireplace and cozying up. This year, I made it a goal of mine to do more activities that I have never been able to do. And I started with this one at the top of the list: going to my first Christmas tree farm. I have to admit it was a lot different that I thought.
I was so nervous when visiting the farm. I picked out an outfit the night before we went. It was like Christmas morning. I went with something simple yet chic but also great for the weather since it was cold that morning. I paired my favorite flannel shirt with a black tee and black jeans. I think this will be my new go-to holiday outfit with different accessories to help out it together.
It was a magical, fun, and overwhelming all at the same time. It is added to my new traditions for each year. Because of the size of the trees and all the horror stories that I have heard about natural trees, we did not pick one to take home. Just having the experience of smelling, touching and seeing the Christmas trees up close was an experience I will never forget.
