Around Town: Orlando Eye

When I have free time, I love exploring the areas around me. This weekend, we decided on visiting the Orlando Eye. We always see it when driving to Disney Springs but never went together as a couple. So I thought it would be a fun surprise date night. Some of you may not know but the Orlando Eye is surrounded by amazing restaurants and other fun attractions for everyone to enjoy. When we first arrived, we decided to  walk around and get a feel for all the restaurants so we could pick a place for dinner. Strolling around the park, we first made a stop at Sea Life Aquarium. I was surprised for a Saturday night. It was not very busy. And the tickets are not expensive for the experience. I enjoyed the aquarium and how interactive everything is. The aquarium was the perfect size: big enough with plenty to be entertained by, not so big that you get bored or your feet hurt. We had an amazing time and spent about 1 hour 30 min and had a fun time.

Now it was time for dinner. We went to my favorite restaurant: Yard House. This place is finger-licking good. You have to try this out if you are in Orlando. It is amazing and the service is worth everything. We tried the guacamole and the best deviled eggs I have ever tasted. The deviled eggs were so soft, they melted in your mouth and were filled with flavor. We had a beautiful cheat meal. I had the truffle mac and cheese and just talking about it now makes me hungry. And the hubby had beef short ribs ravioli. I did not try it because I do not like beef but boy, did it look delicious. After dinner, we were way too stuffed to do anything else. We walked around one more time listening to live music and watching people. I will have to say, the surprise date was a success and we are already making plans to go back and enjoy the other amenities they have to offer.
